Full-Stack Web Developer

About Me

championship picture

Hello, my name is Danny Clark, and I am a junior web developer. I recently made a career switch after 12 years in urban education. I embarked on this new career in August 2017, and have learned a ton, thanks in large part to a coding bootcamp at General Assembly. Look through the site to find a few projects I've created.

When I am not web developing, I am an avid ultimate frisbee player and coach, having competed on the national and world stage (including winning a national championship! That's me with the trophy to the left!).

Projects

ACWell

ACWell is an app that allows users to track their recovery following ACL repair surgery, and see weekly goals and suggested exercises as they progress through their recovery.

The app was built using an Ember.js framework for the front end. This was my first time using a front-end framework, and while challenging at first, once I became comfortable with the structure, I really enjoyed it.

The back-end was built using Ruby on Rails with a SQL database.

The front-end github repo for the site can be found here.

The back-end github repo for the site can be found here.

My Bucket List

Together with three other developers, we developed an app to track bucketlist items, sort by whether the item had been completed or not, and to add items to the bucketlist from yelp through a 3rd party API search.

The front-end of the app was built using HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Handlebars, and Bootstrap. The back-end utilizes an Express server with a MongoDB database.

The front-end github repo for the site can be found here.

Ironside's Top Seven

For my second project at General Assembly, I created an application that allows users to create an all-time top seven frisbee team from the rosters of the historic ultimate frisbee team, Boston Ironside. The front-end uses html, css, javascript, jquery, and AJAX. The back-end is constructed using Ruby on Rails with a PostgreSQL database.

The front-end github repo for the site can be found here.

Tic-Tac-Toe Game

For my first project at General Assembly, I created and designed the front-end of a tic-tac-toe game that connected to a back-end that was designed for us. The front-end app uses html, css, javascript, jquery, and AJAX to create the site.
